Bikelocker. A secure bike parking app for personal bicycle owners.

Bikelocker is a mobility solution designed to address a common challenge among urban cyclists: finding a safe place to store their bikes for short or extended periods of time.
As cities increasingly promote cycling as a sustainable alternative to public transportation and private vehicles, bike usage continues to grow. However, concerns around theft remain one of the main barriers preventing more people from adopting bicycles as their primary means of transportation. The goal was to design a solution that provides cyclists with a convenient and secure way to protect their bikes while moving through the city.

The project followed a three-stage process: research and empathy, product definition and prioritization, and visual design and prototyping.
1. Research & Empathy We explored existing solutions, conducted user interviews and surveys with the target audience, and analyzed their main pain points and behaviors. Based on these insights, we created User Personas and Empathy Maps to better understand cyclists’ needs, motivations, and challenges when looking for secure bike storage. 2. Product Definition & Scope Using the MoSCoW prioritization framework, we defined the product scope and identified the core features required for the MVP, while separating future improvements for later iterations. We translated research insights into user flows and functional requirements, creating low-fidelity paper wireframes to validate the initial structure and interactions. 3. Visual Design & Prototyping To build the Bikelocker brand, we focused on the core value proposition of the product: security and trust. From there, we designed the landing page and hybrid mobile app, creating a high-fidelity prototype to test key user flows and validate the overall experience before defining the next product iterations.
